We are delighted to welcome the wonderful Yuliet Estrada Linares! Originally from Havana, Cuba, dancing has been an important part of Yuliet’s life since childhood. She developed as a dancer in the Conjunto Folclórico de la Universidad de la Habana, where she perfected her skills in Cuban folklore and folk dance. Throughout her career, Yuliet has performed in various shows and participated in national and international competitions. Of particular note is her first place finish in 2007 at the 1st International Festival of Folk and Ballroom Dances in Havana.
Yuliet was also a key part of the fusion show at the renowned Laura Alonso’s Prodanza Academy of Dance. In 2008, she moved to Oslo, Norway, where she continued to build her career as a dancer and choreographer. Now residing in Norway, she teaches at her own dance school and remains a sought-after instructor at festivals around the world.
Over the years, Yuliet has actively contributed to many national and international festivals, both as a dancer and an instructor. She was also part of the Rhythms of the Caribbean project, working with the Norwegian organization Riggsekken to bring dance and culture to the most remote parts of Norway.
In 2019, Yuliet teamed up with dancer Andy Varona, and together they created the Bailan2 Project, which has quickly gained recognition in the international dance scene. Their work has taken them to major festivals worldwide, and Yuliet’s incredible energy and passion continue to inspire audiences wherever she goes.
We are thrilled to welcome Yuliet back to UNiDANZA in 2026, where she will once again share her knowledge and incredible energy with the festival community. She has been a valuable part of our UNiDANZA family for many years, and her presence is always a highlight!
