Bootcamps: The intensive course for enthusiastic dancers
Ready for a challenge?
Our Cuban dance bootcamps are intensive workshops in which you dive deeper into one dance style.
Participants should have at least intermediate knowledge of the respective dance style, so that the pace and content suit everyone.
The goal is to rehearse a routine that you can present at one of the festival parties. Taking part in the show is optional.
We’ll announce the bootcamps, teachers and dance styles for UNiDANZA 2027 here soon.
How the Cuban dance bootcamps work
A bootcamp is an intensive workshop in one dance style with one instructor. Instead of many different topics, you focus on one style and one routine. As a result, there is time for technique, musicality and styling. In past editions, each bootcamp was one intensive four-hour session.
Who is it for? We plan the bootcamps for dancers with at least an intermediate level in the chosen style, so the group can keep a good pace. In past editions, UNiDANZA bootcamps focused on styles such as timba and rumba.
The show: the goal is to rehearse a routine that you can present at one of the festival parties. Taking part in the show is optional, but it’s a great experience! Because the whole party watches, it’s also a lovely way to celebrate your progress.
How to prepare: come warmed up, bring water and comfortable dance shoes, and be ready to repeat the routine many times. That’s how it sticks!
Booking: the Full Pass doesn’t include the bootcamps, so you need a separate bootcamp ticket. As soon as we announce the 2027 bootcamps, you’ll find all details here. Until then, check the festival program, get your Full Pass for all regular workshops and parties, and follow us on Instagram for the first news.
